About the job
- Strategy & Implementation: Design and implement hygiene promotion strategies including campaigns, training, and hygiene material distribution.
- Community Engagement: Mobilize and educate communities through sessions, focus groups, and participatory activities.
- Monitoring & Evaluation: Conduct surveys, monitor behavior change using indicators, and adapt programs based on findings.
- Training & Supervision: Train and mentor field staff, CHWs, and hygiene volunteers; supervise their work.
- Material Development: Create culturally appropriate and accessible educational tools (posters, radio scripts, etc.).
- Coordination: Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, UN agencies, and other sectors (e.g., WATSAN, Protection) for program integration.
- Emergency Response & Preparedness: Lead hygiene interventions during crises and contribute to preparedness planning.
- Advocacy & Campaigns: Promote sustainable hygiene practices and lead awareness campaigns on key health days.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in hygiene promotion or public health in humanitarian or development settings.
- Skilled in behavior change communication (BCC), PHAST, CLTS, or hygiene kit distribution.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
